The Linwood Youth Festival will be back in 2017. It will be all go at Linwood Park on March 4th from 12-4pm. LYFE has art, sport, and music all covered - it is going to be a good time for everyone! There are lots of new performers, activities, community stalls, and good food. Best of all - it is a free event!
LYFE 2017 will celebrate culture and community. If you want to be part of history like performers from last year now are it's time to start thinking and prepping because hopefully 2017 will have the likes of the amazing talent Linwood and the greater area have to offer including the Linwood College Kapa Haka Roopu who will also be competing at National Kapa Haka competition 2016 NZGT's Oceana Olsen, On Fleek a dance crew from Te Waka Unua 2015 reigning hip hop national champs. Highlights in the activities area are; the Cheapskates Skate Jam, basketball with the Canterbury Rams, turbo touch, ki-o-rahi, grass carts, slippery soccer, bumper balls, sumo suits, street art, and soap carving. Mamacitias, hangi, BBQ, snow cones, or crazy spuds are just a few of the food options available to satisfy any hunger pains.

LYFE (Linwood Youth Festival Experience) is a Linwood-focused event where youth pride, diversity and achievements are celebrated.
LYFE (Linwood Youth Festival Experience) is a not-for-profit community event celebrating youth pride, diversity and youth achievement within the Linwood community. It is held annually in Linwood Park, and this year it will be held March 4th 2017. An event coordinator is working alongside a group of young people from Te Waka Unua, Linwood Avenue and Linwood College to turn their ideas into an awesome day out.
